• REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS

     

         The current mandated immunizations required by the PA State Law upon a student’s entry into school are:

          -  4 doses of Tetanus and Diphtheria (DTP, DtaP, DT or Td –1 dose after   

         the 4th birthday)

          -  3 doses of Polio (OPV, E-IPV)

          -  2 doses of Measles, 1 dose of Mumps & Rubella (preferably given as

         MMR)

          -  3 doses of Hepatitis B (Hep B)

          -  2 doses of Varicella (Chicken Pox) Vaccine or an Immunity

         Statement signed by parent or physician declaring that the student had   

         the Varicella (Chicken Pox) disease

     

         Additional vaccines are required upon entry into 7th grade according to PA State Law:          

          -  3 doses of Hepatitis B (HepB)

          -  2 doses of Varicella (Chicken Pox) or an 

         Immunity Statement signed by parent or physician declaring that the   

         student had the Varicella (Chicken Pox) disease.

    -          1 dose of (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis, (Tdap) (If 5 years has elapsed since last tetanus immunization).

    -          1 dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)

       

     
     
     
     

    New Student Immunization Requirements for All Students for the Fall of 2011-2012 School Year:

    -All  students attending a Pennsylvania Public School Setting in 2011-2012 will need to have two doses of Varicella Vaccine (Chicken Pox Vaccine), or  an Immunity Statement signed by a parent or physician declaring that the student had the Varicella (Chicken Pox) disease. 

    These requirements allow for medical reasons and religious beliefs.  If your child is exempt from immunizations, he/she may be removed from school during a period of outbreak.
