HIGH SCHOOL PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26TH – Registration link now open
Newport High School will be holding Parent Conferences on Tuesday, November 26th between the hours of 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM. We are encouraging every parent to make an appointment to meet with their students teachers. Please access the following link to register for your conferences on the 26th.
We ask that you register no later than Friday, November 22nd. Registration forms are also available in the High School Office, if needed. If you have any questions please call the High School office at (717) 567-2517. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on November 26th.
Athletic Season / Budget tickets for the 2019-2020 school year are $40 adults and $20 students. District resident senior citizen athletic passes are free and are available at the high school office.
Before heading out to shop for your winter coats this year, Newport school students are welcome to stop in to check out the collection of free coats available in the Coat Closet. Sizes available from junior small to adult XXL. See Mrs. Markle in the high school Guidance office for assistance.
The Newport School District places a high level of emphasis on communication. This emphasis lends itself to an environment where students will receive the best possible educational experience. The District encourages continual communication between parents and staff to support every student. In order to effectively address and facilitate discussion regarding questions or concerns about your child’s education, the District would like issues to be routed through certain channels for communication. In the event that a question or concern should arise, please first contact your student’s teacher. From that point, the respective building administrator may become involved to help facilitate discussion on an issue. If the issue is unresolved at either of these levels, it will be elevated to the Superintendent for review. Should the need arise, the issue may be presented before the School Board for additional consideration.
