Jamison Magaro, CPA
Director of Business Affairs
Mr. Magaro has been with the District since 2016. In his role as the Director of Business Affairs, he oversees various support functions of the District including Budget/Finance, Human Resources, Food Services, Information Technology, Facilities Maintenance, and Safety/Security. Mr. Magaro also serves as the School Board Secretary and Right-to-Know Law Officer.
Prior to entering the field of school finance, he worked for the Federal government for seven years in various locations, including Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Mr. Magaro obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Susquehanna University in 2009 (Summa cum laude) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Shippensburg University in 2020. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). A proud Newport SD alumnus (2006), Mr. Magaro is pleased to be serving his close-knit home community. In addition to spending time with his wife, two children, and extended family, he enjoys various outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, and beekeeping.
